Okay, so in case you still haven’t figured out yet, it’s my birthday! Of course I’m excited for the God given opportunity to see yet another beautiful year in the land of the living, in good health and sound mind. Last year was amazing, and I know this year will even be more amazing by God’s grace. Normally, I’d probably have written a rather serious post today, but this year, I just decided to wing it and have fun, and that’s why I’d be doing this birthday tag I found online, and I hope you enjoy it!
I hope you had an amazing weekend? I’d say I did, because I had a quality rest time.
Okay let’s get to it!
1. When is your Birthday?
Today, the 6th of August.
2. How old are you turning?
24! So surreal, I mean I was just 18 a while ago. Even my dad is starting to give me hints that I’m not getting younger, yesterday he told me to “start praying for Mr Right” although I’m way ahead of him on that one, I got the message, lol!
3. What was your favourite present you’ve ever received?
I honestly don’t know, because weirdly enough, I don’t usually receive gifts like that, but each time I get money on my birthday, I’m super excited. That counts for something right?
4. Are you/ Did you have a party this year? If so what are you doing?
I’m not big on parties, so no party this year. Instead I’m doing things a little differently. One of the things I’ve been working on this summer, especially after reading this book , is to break away from fixed routines, explore more and leave my comfort zone. So this year, I’m going solo for my birthday, taking myself to some place nice, treat myself to a nice lunch, and just reflect. I’d do another post on that to fill you in! I look forward to the experience.
5. How do you usually celebrate your birthday?
With family, especially with my brother whose birthday was yesterday. He told me that he’s happy I can’t hijack his birthday again, because we usually just merge the both birthdays together and do it on my own day, but now that he’s miles apart from me, he’s happy to reclaim his birthday. Must be nice.
6. If you had an unlimited amount of money what would you do for your birthday?
You know how people say they’re having a destination wedding, yeah, I’d have a destination birthday, Just to have a taste of something different. I don’t know where I’ll go though, but somewhere exciting with my family and friends, and I’ll save the rest of my money after that, thank you very much!
7. What was the most memorable birthday you’ve ever had?
I think it was my 11th year birthday, when my dad organised this big birthday for me with my brother of course, and we invited a lot of people. We did it at millennium park here in Abuja, and it was just great, so much to eat, drink, music, normal birthday stuff but it’s just one of the best and memorable birthdays I’ve had.
8. What’s on your birthday wishlist?
First of all, I’m actually surprised that I didn’t do a separate post on my birthday wishlist this year, is that adulting? Oh Well! I still have a few things I wish for this year;
Money. Lots of it!
A prayer journal from Papertown
A new shoe. I’m always game for a new beautiful pair of heels.
That’s about it for me this year.
9. If you only had one birthday left, what would you do for your birthday?
Okay, really spooky but I’d just have like a worship session with my family. My siblings on the instruments (I have super talented siblings you guys!), and I’ll lead the worship, just basking in God’s presence, eating, drinking, it’s always a great time when we do that, so I guess that would be it!
10. Do you have any birthday traditions?
No, but I want to start one. Last year, I posted a video of me dancing on my personal Instagram account , and it was fun. I love dancing, and I think I want to make it a thing to keep dancing every year. So watch out for this year’s video!
11. What’s your favourite part about your birthday?
The love! It’s always overwhelming, you won’t even know where to start from, but it’s a great feeling.
12. What’s one thing that has changed a lot since your last birthday?
Enough things! However if I’m to narrow it down to just one thing in regards to my birthday celebration, I guess it’ll be the fact that last year I wasn’t keen on doing anything, I basically just are, danced and went about my normal day, but this year I really want to do something for me! I believe that’s growth, and that’s change.
13. Have you ever been thrown a surprise party or have you ever thrown for someone?
No to both, but I have been part of a surprise party for a friend, if that counts. I feel like I’d know if they were planning a surprise party for me, I’m very good at observing and reading people, I don’t think such can slip by without me noticing, but if I am ever successfully surprised, I’ll let you guys know!
That’s it guys! I had fun answering all the questions, and I hope you loved reading them?
Thank you for the love so far, it’s been great! God bless you.
Have an amazing week ahead!
